Missouri Offers Pine Tree’s Caleb Chumley

The first SEC offer and third BCS conference offer arrived Thursday morning for Caleb Chumley.

Pine Tree's senior quarterback received an offer from Missouri, PT offensive coordinator Jeremy Orsagh told ETSN.fm. Chumley also announced the news from his Twitter account.

Chumley had a couple of huge games toward the end of the 2012 season playing quarterback in a newly-installed spread offense and has high expectations entering his senior season. However, he recently suffered a toe injury during non-contact drills in practice that has forced him to the sideline. Chumley's timetable for return is unknown right now.

Chumley is 1 of 2 East Texans in the 2014 class with a Missouri offer. Lufkin defensive tackle D.J. Williams has also received an offer from the Tigers.
