BROWNSBORO -- The Mount Pleasant Tigers captured the Great East Texas Shootout championship with a 78-73 double-overtime victory over Brownsboro on Saturday night.

Mount Pleasant was led by Jacoby McGill, who poured in 16 points. Dorian Glinton and James Moore added 10 points apiece in the victory.

Tamrick Pace carried Brownsboro in defeat with 31 points, while Xavier Richardson and Kevon Thompson added 16 and 14 points, respectively.

Palestine was awarded victory in the third-place game following a Mexia forfeit. Royse City captured fifth place with 64-43 rout of Van, while Martin's Mill earned an 80-73 win over Athens in the consolation championship.
