Nacogdoches Girls Win District Opener Over Jacksonville
NACOGDOCHES — Jenna McCarty scored two goals to lead the Nacogdoches Lady Dragons to a 2-0 win over Jacksonville on Wednesday in the District 35-4A opener.
Assisting McCarty’s two goals were Leslie Escobar and Lori Manchack. Goalkeeper Savannah Scott preserved the shutout.
Nacogdoches’ junior varsity also won on Wednesday over Jacksonville, 3-0.
The Lady Dragons’ next match is Friday at Palestine, while Jacksonville plays host to Diboll.
