Navy Offers Liberty-Eylau’s Rashaan Donelson

A Division I FBS offer arrived Monday evening for Liberty-Eylau's Rashaan Donelson.

The Leopards' senior quarterback received an offer from Navy, making the 6-foot, 187-pounder the 36th player in East Texas' 2014 class to receive an FBS offer. Network Athletics alerted ETSN.fm to the offer.

A broken leg ended Donelson's senior season in early October, but he still completed 66 of 137 passes for 1,114 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions prior to the injury. He ran for 216 yards and a touchdown on 49 carries.

The Navy offer joins a Division I FCS offer from Alabama A&M for Donelson, who also has offers from Northeast Mississippi Community College, Highland Community College in Kansas, and Wayland Baptist.

Donelson is the third East Texan in the 2014 class to receive an offer from Navy, which has also offered Chapel Hill's Joseph Clark and Tyler Grace's Kade Clayton. Clark, who is projected to play defensive back at the next level, is committed to Texas Tech and has four FBS offers in all. Clayton has three FBS offers.
