TYLER -- The Tyler Lee Lady Raiders earned their first win under new coach Ross Barber with a 42-37 defeat of Bullard on Friday.

Ja'Kayla Bowie led Lee (1-1) with 14 points. Aaliyah Morgan added 13 points, while Tyreesha Blaylock had 10.

Bullard (1-1) was paced by Allie Kirgan, who finished with 16 points. Sydney Foster chipped in with nine points in the loss.

Lee returns to action Nov. 21 at home against Winnsboro, while Bullard plays at Hallsville on Tuesday.

 

Slocum Boys Open Season Victoriously

KENNARD -- The Slocum Mustangs began the season with a 50-36 win over Kennard on Friday night.

Taylor Hunt led Slocum (1-0) with 15 points, while Jacob Lane and Alex Maldonado added 12 points apiece.

Slocum resumes its season Tuesday at home against Pollok Central.
