New Mexico State Offers Elkhart’s Jeffery Wilson

Jeffery Wilson's recruitment may soon get to the point where you can no longer call him an under-the-rader prospect.

Elkhart's standout 2014 running back received an offer from New Mexico State on Thursday, according to Elks coach Sam Wells.

New Mexico State is the third FBS program to offer Wilson, who also holds offers from North Texas and ULM.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder had a breakout junior season in 2012, finishing fourth in East Texas in rushing yards with 2,329 and tying for eighth with 26 rushing touchdowns. Wilson averaged 8.4 yards per carry.
