The offer list keeps on growing for Newton junior Kevin Shorter.

The Eagles' 6-foot, 188-pound two-way standout told ETSN.fm on Tuesday evening that he has received three new offers from Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas Tech.

Those schools give Shorter 10 Division I FBS offers along with Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia Tech, Houston, Texas A&M, ULM, and Utah. Shorter also holds three Division I FCS offers from Lamar, McNeese State, and Stephen F. Austin State.

Shorter, who was named Tuesday as a third-team running back on the Texas Sports Writers Association Class 2A all-state squad, ran 151 times for 1,810 yards and 31 touchdowns for an average of 12.0 yards per carry in 2012, when he helped Newton finish 13-1 with a 2A Division I state semifinal appearance. He also caught 15 passes for 315 yards and five touchdowns. In the secondary, he had 58 tackles and three interceptions.

Shorter's 10 FBS offers are the second-most among East Texans in the 2014 class. Mount Pleasant receiver K.D. Cannon (6-0, 160) has 13 offers: Baylor, Clemson, Houston, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Longview defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson (6-2, 290) has five offers: Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, SMU, and TCU.
