Newton’s Caiden Walker Offered By Louisiana Tech

It was another day and another offer for a Newton athlete on Tuesday.

Eagles 2019 offensive lineman Caiden Walker announced via Twitter that Louisiana Tech has offered.

Walker (6-4, 276) was previously offered by Louisiana-Monroe.

Newton has five players with FBS offers. In addition to Walker, 2019 RB Darwin Barlow, 2019 ATH Tamauzia Brown, 2019 QB/ATH Josh Foster, and 2020 DE James Sylvester currently have FBS opportunities.

Last season, Walker anchored an offensive line that helped Newton finish 15-0 and as the Class 3A Division II state champions.

Louisiana Tech is coached by Skip Holtz. The Bulldogs were 7-6 in 2017 and 4-4 in Conference USA play, earning a win over SMU in the Frisco Bowl to cap the season.

Walker, like all juniors, is first eligible to sign with any team that offers him beginning in December of 2018.
