GREENVILLE -- Whitesboro had an upset on the mind, but Mineola erased any hopes in the end.

Chantz Perkins scored on a 1-yard run with 6:57 left in the game to send No. 1 Mineola to a 21-15 win over Whitesboro on Friday night, sending the Yellowjackets to the Class 3A Division I regional round.

Mineola (12-0) will face Callisburg -- a 41-8 winner over Harmony on Friday -- at 2 p.m. Saturday in Royse City.

Yellowjackets quarterback Jeremiah Crawford posted 281 total yards of offense, passing for 137 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 144 yards.

Perkins finished with 87 yards for Mineola.

Jake Dyer, who scored both touchdowns for Whitesboro, finished with 163 yards on the ground in the loss. His 50-yard score put Whitesboro up 15-13 right before the end of the first half.
