No. 4 West Rusk Stays Unbeaten + Defeats White Oak, 21-7

NEW LONDON –– Fourth-ranked West Rusk remained undefeated and moved to 3-0 in District 8-3A Division I with a 21-7 win over district White Oak, Friday night.

It was all West Rusk (7-0) offensively in the first half. LJ Harper hooked up with Trevor Henson for a 35-yard touchdown pass before the break to go up 14-0 at the half.

White Oak (3-4, 1-2) eventually scored in the second half making it a one-score game until a late score in the fourth quarter when West Rusk to put the nail in the coffin.

Harper completed 10 of 15 passes for 114 yards to go along with 72 rushing yards.

Both teams stay in district play next week. West Rusk goes on the road to Sabine, while White Oak is at home against Mineola.
