ROYSE CITY -- The No. 8 Celina Bobcats broke open a one-score game with three fourth-quarter touchdowns in their 28-12 win over upset-minded Liberty-Eylau on Friday night at Royse City ISD Stadium.

Celina (4-0) led the Leopards (1-3) 8-0 after three quarters and outscored L-E 20-12 in the fourth for the victory. Liberty-Eylau twice pulled to within a touchdown in the fourth, but Celina had the answer each time.

The Bobcats went up 15-0 on a Cash Conder 1-yard run before Liberty-Eylau quarterback Rashaan Donelson connected with Malcolm Grant for a 35-yard touchdown. Celina responded with a 28-yard scoring pass from Nathan Elliott to Conder to give the Bobcats a 21-6 lead with 3:12 remaining.

Donelson found Keith Wyncoop for a 7-yard touchdown, cutting the deficit to 21-12 with 1:11 remaining. But after failing to recover an onside kick, Celina's Deshawn Davis put the finishing touches on the victory with a 49-yard scoring run.

Donelson was 11-of-39 for 197 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Wyncoop hauled in six receptions for 117 yards. The Leopards were held to just 27 yards on the ground.

Elliott passed for 128 yards and two touchdowns with one interception on 10-of-30 completions, and ran for 69 yards. Davis rushed for 105 yards on just six attempts, while Collin Schmid ran 14 times for 95 yards.

Liberty-Eylau is back in action next Friday at Van.
