Oklahoma State Offers Longview’s JaMycal Hasty

The seventh offer arrived Monday for Longview junior standout JaMyal Hasty.

The 5-foot-9, 181-pound running back announced via Twitter that Oklahoma State offered him, making the Cowboys the fifth Big 12 school to offer him.

Oklahoma State joins Baylor, Houston, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech on Hasty's offer list, which will undoubtedly grow as he approaches the spring semester of his junior year.

Hasty had a breakout junior year this fall, when he ran for 1,413 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 7.47 yards per carry. He also caught 12 passes for 255 yards and three touchdowns. His 17 total scores accounted for better than a quarter (25.3 percent) of Longview's offensive touchdowns in 2013 despite missing a couple of games with an ankle injury.

Oklahoma State has offered four East Texans in the 2015 class: Hasty, Whitehouse safety Justin Dunning, Troup quarterback/athlete Blake Lynch, and Sulphur Springs safety Larry Pryor. Dunning is committed to Texas A&M, while Lynch is committed to Baylor.
