Palestine sent four football players to collegiate ranks as Oklahoma State-bound Jarrell Owens headlined the talented foursome that signed their national letters of intent on Wednesday morning.

Owens (6-3, 230) flipped from TCU to Oklahoma State after a visit to the Stillwater campus this past weekend. In addition to TCU and Oklahoma State, Owens also held FBS offers from Texas State, Texas Tech and ULM.

The defensive end/linebacker hybrid did a little bit of everything for Palestine in 2013, but mostly on the offensive end. He finished the year with 81 carries for 678 yards and six touchdowns and 14 catches for 232 yards and two touchdowns. Owens was an ETSN.fm Super Team honorable mention selection at the athlete position.

Palestine running back Ben Luckett and offensive lineman Brian Thlang both signed with ULM on Wednesday. Luckett (6-0, 195) rushed for 1,255 yards and 13 touchdowns thanks in large measure to holes opened up by Thlang (6-2, 290). ULM is an FBS program that competes in the Sun Belt Conference.

Also signing to play college football from Palestine on Wednesday was wide receiver/defensive back Sheldon Watson (6-2, 185), who inked with Division II Henderson State, which is a member of the Great American Conference.
