The Paul Pewitt Brahmas put on a rushing display in their 55-28 area-round playoff win over Leonard last Friday night, and senior running back Lamon Hillis was the star of the show.

Hillis (5-9, 215) ran for 279 yards and five touchdowns on 19 carries to vault the Brahmas into the third round of the playoffs. And for his efforts, Hillis is the ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week, following last week's winner, Keenen Johnson of Alto.

Paul Pewitt (8-4) had its way in the backfield, as senior quarterback Tyran Betts also had a big night on the ground with 134 yards and two touchdowns 21 attempts in the big win.

Hillis and Paul Pewitt will meet West Rusk (11-1) on Thanksgiving night at Lobo Stadium in Longview in a Class 3A Division II Region II semifinal. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday.
