LONGVIEW -- Pine Tree capped a perfect run through the Lady Pirate Soccer Tournament with a 3-0 win over Whitehouse on Saturday afternoon at Pirate Stadium.

Pine Tree (3-0) did not allow a goal in its three matches over the weekend, outscoring Nacogdoches, Corsicana and Whitehouse by a cumulative score of 9-0.

Shayna Felker and Nikki Camp combined on the shutout Saturday, while Pine Tree coach Daniel Rich praised the defensive effort all tournament long from Brianna Johnson, Alexis Tate, Charley Tyeskie and Raquel Gibson.

Madi Vineyard got the scoring started against Whitehouse with a goal assisted by Lillee Spencer. The Lady Pirates' second goal came two minutes into the second half as Lilly Cabrera found the net off an assist from Lorena Gonzalez. The final goal was scored by Kate Suits and assisted by Erin Bailey.

Pine Tree returns to action Tuesday at home against Mount Pleasant.
