Pine Tree Girl’s Soccer Battles Tough Kilgore Team to 2-0 Win

LONGVIEW -- It took about 70 minutes for the Pine Tree Lady Pirates to get the upper hand on Kilgore Friday at Pirate Stadium, but Ana Solis' putback on a Kilgore free kick save was enough to push the squad to a 9-0 record in District 32-4A.

Pine Tree's Erin Bailey scored the second goal in the 83rd minute with an assist from Kalynn Hudman.

Nikki Camp made a big save toward the end of the game that preserved the shutout for the Lady Pirates (14-3-1, 9-0).

Next up for the Lady Pirates is Carthage at 11 a.m. March 13.
