Pine Tree Girls Take 2-1 Overtime Win Over Kilgore

KILGORE -- The Pine Tree Lady Pirates earned a 2-1 overtime win over Kilgore in District 32-4A action Wednesday night at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium.

Victoria Flores' rebound and putback in the second OT period capped the win. It was set up by Madi Vineyard's free kick from about 30 yards out, which forced the Kilgore goalie to dive.

Vineyard's goal off a free kick from 35 yards away tied the game at 1-1 with 8:36 remaining in regulation.

Pine Tree outshout Kilgore, 14-2, for the match.

The Lady Pirates return to action Friday at home against Carthage.
