WILLS POINT -- The Pine Tree Lady Pirates went 2-1 on the first day of the Wills Point tournament on Friday, to improve to 9-2 on the season.

Pine Tree fell to host Wills Point 25-20, 25-23 but rebounded to defeat Canton 25-20, 28-26 and Edgewood 25-20, 25-11.

The Lady Pirates conclude play in Wills Point on Saturday.

Van Rolls to Three Wins at Eustace Tournament

EUSTACE -- The Van Lady Vandals continued their roll to begin the season by sweeping a trio of teams on the first day of the Eustace tournament on Friday.

Van dominated North Dallas 25-9, 25-8, defeated Caddo Mills 25-19, 27-25 and handled Frankston 25-4, 25-8.

The Lady Vandals improved to 12-1 on the young season.

Arp Wins One of Three in Pool Play at Marshall Tourney

MARSHALL --  The Arp Lady Tigers went 1-2 in pool play at the Marshall tournament on Friday.

Arp (6-7) defeated Timpson 25-19, 25-11, but lost to Elysian Fields (25-14, 25-20) and Rusk (25-16, 25-13).

In the win over Timpson, Tinikia Lacy had four kills and one dig, Kayleigh Moore registered two kills, four aces and 15 digs and Taylor Burnett chimed in with five kills. Sheyenne Atchley added a kill, 10 digs and two aces, while Lauren Littlefield added five kills, four digs and two aces.

Beckville drops 2 of 3 at Overton Tournament

OVERTON -- Beckville came back to beat Waskom 14-25, 25-8, 25-9 on Friday at the Overton Tournament behind Ivy Rieke's nine kills and five kills apiece from Shelbi Jo Dodson and Taylor Lindsay.

Montana Searcy had 12 assists and seven digs in the win against Waskom.

Beckville lost matches to Harmony (25-23, 25-19) and Cayuga (17-25, 25-16, 25-15). In the three matches combined, Searcy had 42 assists, while Rieke and Lindsay recorded 21 kills apiece.

Hawkins 3, Leverett's Chapel 0

LAIRD HILL -- Jaci Ledkins powered her way to 13 kills and two blocks in the Hawkins Lady Hawks' 25-16, 25-12, 25-17 sweep of Leverett's Chapel on Friday night.

Hawkins (9-1) was also led by senior setter Kalee Williams, who contributed 19 assists and eight digs. Also chiming in for the Lady Hawks were Abby Davis (seven kills, 10 digs) and Cassidy Jennings and Kristina Beason who combined for 22 digs.

The Lady Hawks continue their season Aug. 28 at Union Grove.
