LONGVIEW — The Pine Tree Lady Pirates cruised to a 4-0 win over Marshall in the District 32-4A opener for both teams Friday night at Pirate Stadium.

Pine Tree (6-3-1, 1-0) set the tone early with three first-half goals. Lilly Cabrera notched the first one off an assist from Caroline Meek, who assisted the Lady Pirates’ next goal when she fed Brianna Johnson. The final goal of the half came from Lorena Gonzalez, who was assisted by Cabrera.

The Lady Pirates’ last tally of the night occurred late in the second half when Lille Spencer found the back of the net off an assist from Erin Bailey.

Pine Tree dominated the match throughout, holding an 18-1 advantage over Marshall (4-4-1, 0-1) in shots on goal.

The season continues for the Lady Pirates on Tuesday at Henderson. Marshall, meanwhile, hosts Kilgore on Tuesday.
