HALLSVILLE -- Pine Tree girls soccer is just one win away from a perfect district record after a 2-1 win against Hallsville on Friday.

Erin Bailey scored in the 23rd minute on an unassisted goal to put the Lady Pirates on the board first.

Lily Cabrera added an unassisted insurance goal in the second half.

Pine Tree's second goal turned out to be needed when Halsville's Elisha Leathers connected on a header from Lexi Hardin with 15 minutes to play.

Shots on goal mattered in this one. The Lady Pirates had a 9-4 advantage.

Pine Tree (16-3-1, 11-0) will wrap up district play with senior night on Tuesday against Spring Hill before a bi-district playoff game against either John Tyler or Lindale.
