The first offer is in for Pine Tree junior Caleb Chumley.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder confirmed with ETSN.fm on Friday afternoon that Texas State recently offered him. Chumley has taken junior day trips to Texas State and Baylor.

Chumley moved from receiver to quarterback late in the 2012 season, accumulating staggering numbers in his brief stint running Pine Tree's offense. He racked up more than 1,400 total yards, including 1,000-plus passing yards, and 13 total touchdowns in only three games at quarterback.

Baylor head coach Art Briles visited with Chumley at PTHS in January. Chumley, who plays post for Pine Tree's basketball team, led the Pirates on the court in scoring and rebounding.
