After his second consecutive monster performance to start the 2013 season, Pine Tree senior Dalvin Manns was named Built Ford Tough Player of the Week for Class 4A.

The quarterback completed 24 of 40 passes for a staggering 502 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception in Pine Tree's 64-49 win at Center, which pushed the Pirates to 2-0. Manns also ran 11 times for 48 yards and four touchdowns.

Entering Friday's home game against Class 3A No. 5 Kilgore, Manns has thrown for 920 yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception and run for 113 yards and four scores in only two games. The 6-foot, 200-pounder has completed 66.7 percent of his passes and accounted for 1,033 total yards of offense.

ETSN.fm named Manns the Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week after his Zero Week performance against Van, which the Pirates beat 42-38 in the season opener. Manns completed 16 of 20 passes for 418 yards and five touchdowns while rushing for 65 yards on seven carries.
