Pittsburg has found a replacement game for its Sept. 27 open date.

The Pirate coaching staff confirmed with ETSN.fm that Pittsburg will host Dallas First Baptist that Friday night to replace an open spot created by losing the matchup with Dallas Prime Prep Academy, which has since pulled out of the UIL.

TheOldCoach.com first reported Pittsburg's new matchup with Dallas First Baptist. Prime Prep beat Pittsburg 28-20 on Sept. 28 of the 2012 season.

Dallas First Baptist went 10-2 last season and reached the second round of the TAPPS Division III playoffs. Division III is the second-smallest of the four TAPPS classifications.

Pittsburg went 2-8 in 2012. Veteran East Texas coach Dickey Meeks replaced Robert Manley in the offseason as the Pirates' new head coach. Meeks led Chapel Hill to the Class 4A state crown in 1989 and guided Henderson to the Class 3A Division I title in 2010. In his final three seasons at Henderson, the Lions won the state championship (2010), reached the state semifinals (2011), and advanced to the state quarterfinals (2012).
