Keontae Burns remains one of the most high-profile recruits in East Texas.

His talent was on full display Friday. Burns, a three-star recruit and SMU commit, led Pittsburg to a 30-16 victory against Liberty-Eylau. He finished with three interceptions, including one which he returned for a 99-yard touchdown. He added two tackles and a pass break up.

He is the ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Week 10 Defensive Player of the Week. He follows Harmony's Easton Blackstone, who took the award in Week 9.

The victory moved Pittsburg to 6-3 and 2-1 in District 6-4A Division II. That is good enough for second place in district. The Pirates close out their regular season with a home game against Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m. Friday,
