Key matchup: Pittsburg passing attack against the Pleasant Grove secondary. Pleasant Grove has done well at limiting scoring from its opponents this season. The Hawks haven't  given up more than 38 points in a game, and that was an anomaly against Gilmer.

If Pittsburg hopes to win, it not only needs to limit Pleasant Grove's offensive attack, but also have one of its own. That a large chunk of that could come through the air.

Although Pittsburg generally runs more than throws, it has shown a capability. Jaylon Jimmerson has more than 1,000 yards passing and 14 touchdowns this season. He has a reliable target in Keontae Burns, who accounts for nearly half of his passing yardage.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove has a solid group of defensive backs ready to capitalize on any mistakes from Jimmerson. The pressure will certainly be on him Friday night.

If he handles it well, perhaps Pittsburg is in position to hand the Hawks their first loss.

Don't be surprised if: Ben Harmon finished with about 100 passing yards or more. The Hawks may like to run the ball, but they aren't incapable of passing.

Harmon has already thrown for more than 800 yards, meaning he is averaging more than 100 per game. With Carson Cox to throw to, along with Xavier Benson, there will be plenty of options.

Pleasant Grove will run the ball and do so frequently. However, don't sleep on the passing game.
