Quinlan Ford Rallies from 14-0 Deficit to Take Down Troup, 28-21
BULLARD -- Quinlan Ford erased a two-touchdown deficit and scored 28 straight points to open the season with a 28-21 season-opening win over Troup on Friday night at the Brook Hill Football Classic.
A 71-yard touchdown pass from Bryce Evilsizer to Markus Laurent and three straight touchdown runs quickly turned the score from a 14-0 Troup lead to Quinlan Ford up 28-14.
Troup quarterback Blake Lynch threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Hitachi Lydia with 1:11 left in the game, but the Tigers couldn't do any more after that.
Lynch, one of East Texas' top 2015 recruits, scored on a 5-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and connected with Brandon Hearon on a long pass early in the second to give the Tigers (0-1) a 14-0 lead.
