MINEOLA -- Rhett Self's 25-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown run sent the Mineola Yellow Jackets to a 35-28, come-from-behind win over Brownsboro on Friday night in District 15-3A action at Meredith Memorial Yellow Jacket Stadium.

Self finished the night with a team-high 144 yards on 22 carries for Mineola (4-3, 1-1), which fell behind Brownsboro (2-5, 0-2) 14-0 in the first quarter but scored the game's final 21 points.

Mineola quarterback Jeremiah Crawford also had in the comeback win, rushing for 77 yards four touchdowns and completing 8 of 14 passes for 178 yards.

Brownsboro was led by Jared Bragdon, who was 17-of-26 for 274 yards and two touchdowns. Deandre Cook led the Bears with four receptions for 102 yards and score. Will Bailey caught seven passes for 77 yards and the other touchdown.

Trailing 28-14 at the half, Mineola tied the game on a pair of 1-yard touchdown runs by Crawford -- the first with 6:34 remaining in the third and the second with 7:00 remaining in the game.

The Bears jumped in front 14-0 on Bragdon's 2-yard scoring run and 9-yard touchdown pass to Cook, but Crawford's 26-yard touchdown brought Mineola to within a touchdown at 14-7 with 8:01 remaining in the second quarter.

The teams then traded touchdowns in a span of 28 seconds. First, Brownsboro went ahead 20-7 on a Quintus Lee 5-yard run before Mineola cut the lead to 20-14 moments later Crawford's 1-yard run.

Brownsboro extended its lead to 28-14 at halftime when Bragdon hit Bailey in the end zone from 10 yards out as time expired in the first half.
