Two players who already hold one FBS offer apiece received Friday offers from one of the nation's top FCS programs.

Sam Houston State offered Palestine senior running back Ben Luckett and senior offensive lineman Brian Thlang, according to the Palestine coaching staff.

Luckett and Thlang already have ULM offers, but the Bearkats are an intriguing option. They have played in back-to-back Division I FCS national championship games and the campus is about only 90 minutes from Palestine.

Palestine (4-2) is off this week before opening District 19-3A at Rusk on Oct. 18. Luckett, who missed the Wildcats' last two games with a hand injury, is expect to return for the Rusk game. In Palestine's first four contests, he ran for 649 yards and seven touchdowns, averaging 7.1 yards per carry.

Thlang has helped Palestine average an impressive 222.3 rushing yards per game, which has propelled the 'Cats to a solid 400.5 total yards per contest.
