NEW CHAPEL HILL -- Chapel HIll senior pitcher Andrew Black tossed a perfect game in the Bulldogs' 7-0 win over Jacksonville on Saturday at the Chapel Hill Tournament.

Black, who transferred from Jacksonville prior to his junior year, struck out nine in the perfect pitching performance.

Chapel Hill (5-1), which won the tournament after winning all five games over the weekend, faces Jacksonville on the road Tuesday.

Gilmer went 3-1 at the Chapel Hill Tournament. The Buckeyes lost to Marshall 8-0 on Thursday before defeating Brownsboro 7-0 and Tyler Lee's junior varsity 6-2 on Friday and Jacksonville 10-7 on Saturday.

Center Captures Palestine Tournament

PALESTINE -- The Center Roughriders won Palestine's Howard Estes Tournament with a 2-0 win over Athens in the championship game Saturday.

Kam Owens went the distance on the mound for the complete-game shutout.

Center returns to action next weekend at the Oil Belt Classic in Kilgore.

Brook Hill Edges Central Heights in Extras

BULLARD -- The Bullard Brook HIll Guard earned a 3-2 win in 11 innings over Nacogdoches Central Heights on Saturday.

Seth Brasher went 3-for-5 with an RBI, while Blake Maddox also had three hits with a double in the Brook Hill win. Ryan Cox was 2-for-4 and Clayton Engel had a hit and scored twice.

Daniel Priddy pitched five innings of relief for the win. He struck out eight and allowed one run on one hit. Andrew Edwards started and went five innings, allowing no runs on two hits with eight strikeouts and three walks.

Gilmer Goes 1-1 Saturday in Longview

LONGVIEW -- The Gilmer Lady Buckeyes went 1-1 Saturday on the final day of the Longview Tournament.

Shaylee Fennell struck out five and walked two in Gilmer's 9-0 win over Longview.

Whitehouse defeated Gilmer 8-3 earlier in the day. Makayla stuck out 11 in the circle, while Mallery Stanley belted a two-run home run in the second inning.
