BROWNSBORO -- The Bullard Lady Panthers finished strong in the Great East Texas Shootout with a pair of dominating wins Saturday.

Bullard rolled past Maud, 60-15, and Gladewater, 65-18, to complete the three-day tournament at 4-2.

In the win over Maud, Bullard (15-4) was led by Lauren Zachry, who scored 18 points on six of her team's 12 made 3-pointers. DeAnna Howard added 14 points, Maddy Slayter contributed nine, while Lexi Kirgan and Kristen Chamberlain finished with seven points apiece.

Kirgan scored 19 points in Bullard's rout of Gladewater. Hannah Lloyd chipped in with 12 points, while Zachry, Tracey Johnson and Slayter each had eight points.

 

Winona Captures Consolation Title in Harleton

HARLETON -- The Winona Ladycats earned a 48-25 win over the Tatum junior varsity Saturday to claim the consolation championship of the Harleton Tournament.

Kawaii Gordon sparked Winona (7-5) with 18 points, five rebounds and six steals. Randaysha Hanson added eight points and five boards, while Mallori Shacklett registered six points to go with five assists.

 

Wells Too Much For Gary

GARY -- Gary suffered a 40-19 loss to Wells on the final day of the Gary Tournament on Saturday.

Gary was led in defeat by Lacey McCasland's six points and 12 rebounds. Meagan Sewell also had six points, while Ryley Beckham finished with four points and nine boards.

New Summerfield Edges Laneville

GARY -- New Summerfield scored a narrow 66-65 win over Laneville in the championship game of the Gary Tournament on Saturday.

Laneville (7-2) was led in defeat by Ty Johnson's 20 points and five rebounds. Tra Alexander added 14 points, Jaylon Grant had 12, Kendrick Anderson finished with 11 points and six assists, and Tiarel Franklin contributed eight steals.
