Saturday Basketball: Tatum Girls Capture Wills Point Tourney

WILLS POINT -- The Tatum Lady Eagles captured the Wills Point Tournament with a 43-42 win over Forney on Saturday.

Ashton Brown led Tatum (8-4) with 18 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and five steals. Jayla Hooper added 15 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.

Tatum begins District 15-3A play at Ore City on Dec. 11.

No. 1 Shelbyville Routs Alto

SHELBYVILLE -- The top-ranked Shelbyville Dragons rolled to an 82-31 win over Alto on Saturday.

Kurrinsai Jackson led Alto (0-2) in defeat with eight points.

Alto begins play in the Gary Tournament on Thursday against Broaddus.
