Saturday Basketball: Whitehouse + Harmony Earn Tournament Wins

BURKBURNETT -- The Whitehouse Wildcats wrapped up play at the Burkburnett Tournament with a 75-62 win over Plainview on Saturday.

Spencer Shaw led Whitehouse (10-2) with 16 points. Jaylon Dews added 13 points, Calvin Vaughn and Brady Hill had 11 points apiece and Jake Parker finished with 10 in the victory.

Shaw, who averaged 18 points and five rebounds in Whitehouse's four games over the weekend, was named to the all-tournament team.

Whitehouse plays at Tyler Lee on Tuesday.

Harmony Edges Harleton in Big Sandy

BIG SANDY -- The Harmony Eagles earned a narrow 48-47 win over Harleton on Saturday at the Big Sandy Tournament.

Bentley Miner led Harmony (2-7) with 14 points. Austin Spurlock added 13 points, while Waymon Levy finished with 12 in the win.

Harleton (3-9) was sparked by Cody Fregia's 32 points.

Harmony hosts Troup in its District 18-2A opener Tuesday, while Harleton begins District 17-A Division I play at Carlisle also on Tuesday.
