Saturday Schedule for East Texas Teams at the Division I 7-on-7 Football State Tournament

Two of the five teams East Texas sent to the Division I 7-on-7 state tournament will represent the region in Saturday's championship bracket.

Lufkin and Whitehouse are championship bracket-bound after successful pool-play performances Friday. Lufkin went 3-0 in the "Pool of Death," while Whitehouse went 2-1 in its pool.

John Tyler, Longview, and Tyler Lee play in Saturday's consolation bracket. Longview went 1-2 with a win against Katy Cinco Ranch. Lee and JT each went 0-3.

Saturday Championship Bracket

• 9 a.m.: Whitehouse vs. Lake Travis (Field 1A) -- winner plays Arlington Bowie or Pearland in second round at 10:15 a.m. (five total rounds)
• 9 a.m.: Lufkin vs. Mesquite Poteet (Field 4A) -- winner plays Hutto or Pasadena Memorial in second round at 10:15 a.m.

Saturday Consolation Bracket

• 8 a.m.: Tyler Lee vs. San Antonio Johnson (Field 11A) -- winner plays Abilene Cooper or Katy Cinco Ranch in second round at 10:15 a.m. (five total rounds)
• 8 a.m.: John Tyler vs. Edcouch-Elsa (Field 7) -- winner plays Elgin or Pearland Dawson in second round at 10:15 a.m.
• 8 a.m.: Longview vs. College Station A&M Consolidated (Field 10) -- winner plays Manvel or Plano East in second round at 10:15 a.m.
