HALLSVILLE -- Carthage got a 6-3 win against Beckville and won handedly over Lindale, 10-0, to wrap up its time at the Hallsville Tournament.

Morgan Davis and Samantha Clakley did most of the damage for the Bulldogs in the Beckville win. Both players recorded two RBIs. Kacey Maines and Ashleigh Edge both recorded two runs in the game.

Clakley started on the mound, struck out 10 Beckville batters and allowed two hits and a walk for one earned run.

Beckville's Carley Lawhorn was the thorn in Clakley's side. She hit a home run and a triple in a 2-for-2 game and also drew the lone walk Carthage issued.

Clakley made quick work out of Lindale. The game was run-ruled.

Carthage's starting pitcher struck out eight batters on the way to a one-hit shutout.

Davis, Kaitlynn Earle, Ashleigh Edge and Morgan Alexander each recorded an RBI in the game.
