Sixteen East Texans Honored on Texas Association of Soccer Coaches All-State + All-Region Boys Teams

Nine Class 5A boys and seven Class 4A boys from East Texas were named to the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches all-state and all-region teams, which TASCO recently released.

Longview had four players, led by second team all-state selection Miguel Cabrera, a senior goalkeeper. Tyler Lee and Lufkin had three and two players selected, respectively.

In Class 4A Palestine senior goalkeeper Jose Cabrera earned first team all-state recognition. Palestine and Sulphur Springs had three players apiece selected to all-state or all-region honors.
