Slocum’s Losing Skid Hits Three At Glen Rose Tournament
GLEN ROSE -- Slocum slipped to 0-3 at the Glen Rose Tournament with a Friday loss to the hosts, 56-34.
Glen Rose (2-10), a Class 4A program, managed to hold six of eight Slocum scorers to three or less points.
Alex Maldonado had a decent day for the Mustangs (10-8) of Class 1A despite the adversity. He reached double-digit scoring with 12 points.
Keet Cockerman added seven to Slocum's point total.
The Mustangs will be back in action at the tournament today with an 8 a.m. game against Port Aransas and a 12:30 p.m. contest versus Lorena.
