Soccer Roundup: Nacogdoches Girls + Kilgore Boys Notch Victories

PALESTINE -- For the second consecutive game, Jenna McCarty delivered for Nacogdoches, which won 2-0 at Palestine on Friday night.

Nacogdoches, now 2-0 in district play, built a 2-0 halftime lead thanks to McCarty's second two-goal performance this week. Teammate Victoria Hetrick assisted by of McCarty's goals.

Savannah Scott recorded the shutout in goal for the Lady Dragons, who visit Center on Tuesday. Nacogdoches' JV also beat Palestine on Friday, 3-1.

Kilgore Downs District Rival Pine Tree

KILGORE -- Kilgore scored twice in the second half to beat Pine Tree in a District 32-4A boys soccer showdown Friday evening at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium.

The win moves the Bulldogs to 2-0 in 32-4A play, while Pine Tree falls to 2-1.
