CARTHAGE -- Senior Emily Shelton registered a hat trick to lead Pine Tree to an impressive 6-0 shutout of Carthage on Tuesday.

Amanda Wallin, Amanda Cabrera, and Ana Solis scored one goal apiece to complement Shelton's hat trick.

Pine Tree's Erin Bailey had two assists, while Wallin and Kalynn Hudman had one assist apiece. Wallin, PT's career leader in goals and assists, leads Pine Tree in goals (12) and assists (11) this season.

The win pushed Pine Tree to 12-1-1 overall and 4-0 in District 32-4A. The Lady Pirates visit rival Hallsville on Friday.

Nacogdoches Shuts Out Center, 2-0

CENTER -- Savannah Scott got the shutout in goal as Nacogdoches won 2-0 on the road Tuesday evening against Center.

Chloe Skidmore, Jenna McCarty, and Victoria Hetrick were involved in the Lady Dragons' two goals. Nacogdoches' JV squad won 6-0.

John Tyler Routs Chapel Hill, 7-0

TYLER -- Adriana "Mina" Perez recorded a hat trick to lead John Tyler to a dominant 7-0 victory Tuesday against Chapel Hill.

Esperanza Zavaleta scored two goals -- one on a free kick, one on a penalty kick -- while Jojo Calleja and Kenia Delgado scored one apiece for John Tyler, which improved to 3-0 in district play. Karla Hernandez, Rebecca Ontiveros, Yelsi Rosales, and Liliana Macedo all got in on the assisting act.

John Tyler plays Whitehouse on Friday in a battle for first place.
