Softball Playoffs: Regional Final Matchups + Schedule

The high school softball playoffs continue this week with the regional-final round. Winners will advance to the UIL State Softball Tournament on May 29-June 1 at the University of Texas' Red & Charline McCombs Field in Austin.

There are six East Texas teams vying for the state berths this weekend.

Class 3A

Region II Final

Mineola vs. Van

Series -- UT Tyler Ballpark

• Game 1: 7 p.m. Friday (May 24)
• Game 2: 4 p.m. Saturday (May 25)
• Game 3: follows Game 2 if necessary

Region III Final

Lufkin Hudson vs. West Columbia

Series -- Humble Summer Creek HS

• Game 1: 6 p.m. Friday (May 24)
• Game 2: follows Game 1
• Game 3: 6 p.m. Saturday (May 25) if necessary

Class 2A

Region III Final

Garrison vs. Crawford

One-game playoff: 7 p.m. Friday (May 24), Mumford High School

Class A

Region III Final

Beckville vs. Grapeland

Series -- Nacogdoches High School

• Game 1: Beckville 6, Grapeland 1
• Game 2: 4 p.m. Saturday (May 25)
• Game 3: follows Game 2 if necessary
