Softball Poll: Eight East Texas Class 3A Teams Ranked

East Texas' Class 3A representation in the Texas Girls Coaches Association poll added an eighth team with the release of this week's rankings.

Atlanta jumped into the poll at No. 14. Rusk, Henderson, and Gladewater remained 4-5-6, while Pollok Central moved up three spots to No. 11. Mineola fell two places to 15th, and defending state champion Lufkin Hudson slipped eight places to 17th. Gilmer fell to 24th, four spots lower than last week.

Hallsville moved up two spots to 14th in the Class 4A poll. Troup moved up one place to eighth in Class 2A, which also saw Edgewood get a two-spot bump to 19th. Winnsboro remained tied at No. 25, this week with Callisburg and fellow East Texas school Sabine. Grand Saline dropped out of the poll after holding the No. 24 spot last week.

Alto and Harleton stayed at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, in the Class A poll. Saltillo fell one spot to No. 10 and Beckville dropped three to No. 14.
