HALLSVILLE -- Carthage got a pair of 5-1 wins against Sabine and Whitehouse at the Hallsville Tournament on Friday.

Starting pitcher Samantha Clakley pitched in both games. The two runs given up by the Bulldogs were unearned.

Clakley struck out nine batters and allowed one hit in the Sabine win.

Krystin Martin hit a bases loaded double for three RBIs to lead Carthage at the plate. Morgan Davis, Kacey Maines and Kimberlyn Worsham all got a pair of hits.

Clakley struck out eight in the Whitehouse game while allowing three hits and a walk through four innings of work.

Morgan Alexander scored two runs in the win. Davis batted in two runners with a double.
