Spring Hill has hired former Hallsville assistant Luke Longino as its next head boys basketball coach, according to Panthers athletic director Mark Sartain.

The story was first reported by the Longview News-Journal.

Longino replaces Hunter Taylor, who resigned last month to take a graduate assistant position at Baylor.

In addition to his work at Hallsville, Longino's previous coaching stints include stops at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and Pollok Central High School.

Taylor spent two seasons at Spring Hill, compiling a 46-19 record with back-to-back playoff appearances.
