LUFKIN -- Lufkin coach Todd Quick likes what he's seen through the first three days of Lufkin practice, but knows there's more to be learned.

LONGVIEW -- The word "legacy" gets thrown around a lot these days when talking sports. But that's the word Spring Hill volleyball coach Karen Brundrett used when discussing Savannah Voelzke.

BULLARD -- There are always differences when a new head coach takes over a football program, but for Bullard Brook Hill, a familiar face has made for a smooth transition.

TYLER -- Tyler All Saints volleyball coach Bryan Winegeart will admit his team relied a great deal on Katrina Kastmo last season, as is typically the case when coaching a standout player.
