WINNSBORO -- Sheyan Thompson's 21-yard fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Quinton King broke a tie and lifted Winnsboro to a 21-14 win against Eustace on Friday night in District 7-2A Division I action.

ELYSIAN FIELDS -- It’s not often a head coach gets the Gatorade bath in just the district’s fourth game.

ROCKWALL -- Will Reed passed for 391 yards and two touchdowns, Tamba Juanah rushed for three touchdowns and the Rockwall Yellow Jackets kept Tyler Lee winless in District 12-5A with a 43-33 win Friday night at Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.

MESQUITE -- The Dallas Christian Chargers took down Bullard Brook Hill, 34-12, Friday night in a battle of TAPPS Division II District 2 unbeatens.

LUFKIN -- Junior standout KeKe Coutee caught eight passes for 158 yards and a touchdown as Lufkin beat Bryan 31-19 in a District 14-5A matchup at Abe Martin Stadium.

MINEOLA -- Rhett Self's 25-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown run sent the Mineola Yellow Jackets to a 35-28, come-from-behind win over Brownsboro on Friday night in District 15-3A action at Meredith Memorial Yellow Jacket Stadium.

TYLER -- Tyler Bishop Gorman came into Friday's game averaging 39.2 points, while Grace averaged 37.7 points per contest. But it was the defensive units that stole the spotlight in a game that had 10 total points.
