TYLER -- A back-and-forth game between Sulphur Springs and Tyler Lee came down to the final inning, which saw the Wildcats plate five runs in the top of the seventh for a 9-4 victory Saturday night at the Rose City Classic at Mike Carter Field.

TYLER -- The Hallsville Bobcats finished a perfect weekend at the Rose City Classic with a 5-3 win over Lufkin on Saturday night at Mike Carter Field.

TYLER -- Carthage erased a two-run deficit to tie Sulphur Springs in the sixth inning, but the Wildcats scored three times in the final frame to beat the Bulldogs 6-4 in Friday afternoon's Rose City Classic contest at Mike Carter Field.

TYLER -- The Sulphur Springs Wildcats used a five-run fourth inning to propel them to an 11-8 win over Nacogdoches on Thursday at the Rose City Classic.

TYLER -- It may not have been how coach David Howard would have drawn it up, but the Tyler Lee Red Raiders opened their season and concluded Day 1 action at the Rose City Classic in exciting fashion.

TYLER -- Timmy Martinez pitched a complete game, scattering six hits and holding Carthage scoreless for the contest's first six innings in a 5-1 Lufkin victory Thursday at UT Tyler's Irwin Field to kick off the 23rd annual Rose City Classic.
