BULLARD -- Third-ranked Gilmer's district shutout streak was snapped at 11 quarters, but that was about all that was left to be desired for the Buckeyes on Friday night.

BULLARD -- Grant Hanks passed for five touchdowns, four of them to Seth Brasher, in Bullard Brook Hill's 45-35 win over Frisco Legacy Christian at Herrington Stadium on Friday night.

REDWATER -- Winnsboro edged the Dragons on the road Friday, 42-35, in a very important District 7-3A Division I game. The Raiders moved into sole possession of second place in the league with help from other teams in the district while Redwater fell into a four-way tie for third place.

GRAPELAND -- Carlisle was taken aback when the Sandies opened Friday's District 11-2A Division I game with a 62-yard bomb. The Indians bounced back, however, for a 63-14 win at Grapeland Sandies Stadium and are nipping at the heels of Alto and Kerens in the league race. The team answered the bell on its first offensive possession and scored the game's next five touchdowns for a 36-6 lead with 9:28

MALAKOFF -- Campus was packed well ahead of the Tigers' Class 3A top 10 showdown with Teague. Fans gave up finding a parking spot at Malakoff High School and began ditching their cars on the shoulder of Farm to Market Road 3062, and that makeshift parking lot extended at least a half-mile before kickoff.

GLADEWATER -- The ninth-ranked Gladewater Bears ran past the Pleasant Grove Hawks, 41-21, Friday night at Jack V. Murphy Bear Stadium.

LONGVIEW -- Just a week after carrying the load on the ground, Sulphur Springs quarterback Larry Pryor showed he could do it through the air as well.

KILGORE -- The abilities of Chapel Hill quarterback Konnor Hitchcock weren't exactly a well-kept secret, but the secret is certainly out after Hitchcock's performance Friday night.

LONGVIEW -- Tylan Miller rushed for 120 yards and a pair of scores and the Lobos' defense notched three touchdowns as Longview dominated Mount Pleasant, 63-6, on Friday night at Lobo Stadium.

BROWNSBORO -- Carthage junior quarterback Jarod Blissett cracked the school record book in the Bulldogs' 55-14 victory over Brownsboro on Friday night.
