SHENANDOAH – Cameron Yoe turned chances into points Friday at Woodforest Bank Stadium. The Yoeman rallied from a two-touchdown deficit en route to a 39-22 win over Newton in a Class 2A Division I semifinal.

WACO -- Thanks to the dynamic Edwin Mims and a stingy second-half defense, the Daingerfield Tigers defeated the Wall Hawks, 29-22, at Waco ISD Stadium on Friday and will be making their ninth state championship appearance.

MIDLOTHIAN -- Eighteen years ago in the state quarterfinals, John Tyler blew a 24-point fourth-quarter lead before stunning Plano East with a game-winning kickoff return in the final minute.

WACO -- The Elysian Fields Yellow Jackets heard all the hype about the undefeated East Bernard Brahmas this week. It was all true.

MANSFIELD -- The Gilmer Buckeyes needed a 17-point comeback last week. No such rally was needed Friday night.

MIDLOTHIAN -- Denton Guyer quarterback Jerrod Heard stepped onto the field at Midlothian ISD stadium Friday night with 3:44 left in the game.
