LUFKIN -- Trey Cumbie passed for 363 yards and five touchdowns to lead Lufkin to a 42-10 victory over Conroe Oak Ridge on Friday night at Abe Martin Stadium.

CONROE -- Lufkin scored 24 first-quarter points and lightning ended the Panthers' win early against Conroe Oak Ridge on Saturday, as the Pack took a 24-0 win in a District 14-5A matchup against former John Tyler coach Dereck Rush.

TEXARKANA -- Kody Hunter passed for 127 yards and a touchdown to lead Texas High past Marshall, 20-6, Friday night in District 14-4A action.

MOUNT PLEASANT -- Mount Pleasant quarterback Monty James threw seven touchdown passes and ran for another to lead the Tigers to a 54-49 win against Hallsville in District 14-4A action Friday night.

ATLANTA — Atlanta climbed back into the postseason picture Friday at Rabbit Stadium with a 27-20 victory over Liberty-Eylau, which not only lost the game, but maybe junior sensation Davion Hall.

DIBOLL -- Blake Bogenschutz threw four first-half touchdowns to complement a pair of rushing TDs from Bryian Bolton and Tevin Pipkin to propel Carthage to a 55-14 blowout at Diboll on Friday.

GLADEWATER -- Chapel Hill quarterback Andrew Black and receiver Reginald King teamed to give the Bulldogs a 17-6 win over Gladewater on Friday night at Jack V. Murphy Bear Stadium.

JEFFERSON -- The Tatum Eagles defeated the Jefferson Bulldogs, 31-14, in a District 9-2A Division I heavyweight match Friday night, keeping the Eagles tied atop the league standings.

JOAQUIN -- Will Vaughn scored three touchdowns and No. 5 Joaquin's running game was too much for Timpson on Friday night, as the Rams stayed unbeaten witha  48-14 win over the Bears.

BULLARD — Tyler Grace's junior standout Kade Clayton dominated from the beginning of the game to the end as the Cougars trounced the Bullard Brook Hill Guard, 48-14, Friday in the two private schools' first meeting as district opponents.
