WHITEHOUSE -- Tanner Roach returned to the starting lineup after missing a game with an injury to throw a pair of touchdowns and lead Whitehouse to a 34-21 win over Kennedale in non-district football action Friday night at Wildcat Stadium.

Roach, who was injured in the first half of the Carthage game and sat out last week's win at Sulphur Springs, threw touchdowns to Fiver Trimble and Zach Parker, the latter of which went for 62 yards and handed Whitehosue a 21-7 lead with 5:49 remaining in the first half.

Parker leads the team with 27 catches for 460 yards and six touchdowns.

Kick returner Kaleb Ford-Dement returned a kickoff for 100 yards in the first half and kicker Eddie Godina added a pair of field goals, including a 41-yarder to ice the game.

Kennedale running back D.J. Kirven rushed for 160 yards on 24 carries, but Kennedale hurt its own cause with a pair of lost fumbles that led to 14 Whitehouse points and 113 yards in penalties, four of which extended Whitehouse drives by granting fresh sets of downs.

Whitehouse (4-1) is idle next Friday before opening district play at Ennis. Kennedale fell to 2-2 this season.
