LIBERTY CITY –– A battle of two great offenses duked it out Friday night, but Tatum's great first half set it up for a 56-38 win over Sabine.

It was all Tatum (3-2, 2-0 in District 8-3A Division II) in the first half as it went into halftime up, 42-10.

Sabine (3-2, 0-1) finally got its offense going, and bounced back in the second half but the early lead put on by the Eagles was too much to overcome.

Tatum managed to put up more points late in the game to keep its distance on the scoreboard.

Tatum is off next week, while Sabine goes one the road against Winnsboro (2-4, 0-2).
